UDSF DanceSport Hosted an Open Iftar and Dhua

Last night, Uganda DanceSport Federation hosted an Open Iftar at it’s Office premises in Mengo, Kampala. The Open Iftar was organised as a symbol of togetherness with the DanceSport Moslem fraternity during the Ramadan month.

The Open Iftar allowed Muslims observing Ramadan the opportunity to gather to break their fast together as well as providing a safe space for mutual dialogue and engagement. Individuals from far and near, media personnel, DanceSport athletes and friends all attended the Ifar evening to celebrate and break fast with the Moslem community.
The Host General Secretary , Ssebuyungo Barnabas couldn’t hide his appreciation to all those attended the DanceSport Ifar and Dhua . He said ” It’s very special to be the first Sport Federation to host an Open Iftar and it’s something we are extremely proud about. In addition, he highlighted on the road map to the Breaking Africa Olympic Qualifier which is set to happen early next month in Rabat, Morocco.”

The Sheikh of the day lead the congregation as they said a Special Ramadan prayer for the Breaking DanceSport National players towards their preparations to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The UDSF DanceSport through it’s Equality Commission looks forward to having more togetherness meetings in the spirit of promoting inclusivity across all sections of DanceSport.
