In their struggle to make DanceSport a house discipline in the Pearl of Africa, the Uganda DanceSport Federation did hold a media clinic at their own home in Nankulabye on Thursday, 27th, January 2022.
Though they have been moving places in different parts of the country, most ugandans, Journalists inclusive, they have mentality that dance is for entertainment world not a sport like others. This has pushed the federation to hold a one day media clinic, to educate Journalists about the sport and how it can be of great importance to the nation.
The facilitator, and the General Secretary of the game, Ssebuyungo Barnabas lectured Journalists how the sport came into the country, the basics of the Sport, the uniqueness of the sport and how they (Federation) planning to work with the media Fraternity to spread the game to different parts of the nation.
In the same media clinic, General Secretary revealed that DanceSport is an Olympic Sport and the local federation subscribe to National Council of Sports, World DanceSport Federation and Uganda Olympic Committee.
