Having successfully conducted regional awareness workshops in the areas of Kawempe, Entebbe, Masaka, Soroti, Jinja and Mbale, the Uganda DanceSport Federation has now embarked on Institutional awareness.
The Federation will officially launch DanceSport awareness workshops for institutions on Friday at the Swimming Pool terrace in Makerere University with an aim of attracting students who could be talented and interested in the sport.
This follows a successful meeting between the Federation General Secretary Barnabas Ssebuyungo and Peninah Kabenge, the president of Association of Uganda University Sports (also the vice president of Federal International Sports in Universities).
“We had a successful meeting with Mrs Peninah Kabenge the one in charge of Sports at Makerere University and President of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) and the General secretary Africa University Sports. She has given DanceSport a warm welcome to Makerere university and invited us to have Awareness this Friday to 1st year students/ fresher’s,” Ssebuyungo noted.
