Dance Cranes Return Home After Impressive Showing at World Breaking Championships

Team Uganda (Dance Cranes) had an impressive performance on her maiden appearance at the World Breaking Championships that took place on Saturday 4th December at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France.

Over 86 countries participated in the Breakdancing competition where judging criteria based the dancer’s Technique & Variety, Musicality & Performativity alongside Creativity & Personality.

Uganda was represented by two Breaking Boys (B-Boys) in Kayiira Ibrahim and Ndawula Ronald who showcased astonishing skills, spins and moves on their first time appearance at such a global event. The combo garnered decent points as Uganda finished 38th overall.

On Wednesday, the two Dance Cranes stars and three officials successfully returned home aboard Qatar Airways. The 5-man contingent touched down at the Entebbe Aboard (7:45am) and we’re received by Uganda DanceSport Federation (UDSF) officials and athletes’ parents.
